Description: Brochure, theatre & restaurant, CAFE DE PARIS, Broadway at 53rd Street, New York, N.Y., ca1910s. From some basic research, this Cafe de Paris, may have been the final days of an elaborately-designed, over-the-top interior decorated and short-lived Cafe de l-Opera in New York City. The Cafe de l'Opera was established in 1910, had a series of issues that forced a sale to Louis Martin, a successful restaurant owner already established in the Broadway theatre district. It was renamed Cafe Louis Martin. Apparently, its next and final iteration was Cafe de Paris. This brochure most definitely does NOT show a food menu, but rather promotes its "...GAY PARISIAN SHOWS, LUXURIOUS SETTINGS, FINE FOOD, MODERATE PRICES." The business went bankrupt in 1914 and the building was razed in 1915. Folded, the brochure measures 9" x 4". It has light wear at edges, corners and folds. Domestic buyer pays $4.13 S&H.
