Bob would have made 80 years old next year, and the recent Bob Marley movie came out a few months ago ('One Love'), so the brothers did a very cool thing, and toured. Ziggy has been around since the 80s, when he released several albums with The Melody Makers (his sisters and brother Stephen, Cedella, and Sharon Marley). In 2003, Ziggy released his first album without The Melody Makers. TEN years ago, Ziggy released his fifth studio album, titled 'Fly Rasta'. 'Fly Rasta' features sisters (and former members of The Melody Makers) Sharon and Cedella. They released the album in a very cool box with a second disc that's a Ziggy live album ('Ziggy Marley Live in Concert'), which he won a Grammy for best reggae album in 2014, TEN years ago! (Ziggy also won a Grammy for best reggae album with 'Fly Rasta' in 2015.) That great and award winning studio album is included, along with a copy of the live album! Both discs look new, and are shiny and clean. Insides and box also look great, with only a tiny bit of shelf-wear on the outside of the box. And we'll end with a sweet CD maxi-single of a Marley classic done by Ziggy and the Melody Makers called "People Get Ready"! It's their update on a true reggae classic (but was actually an American R&B hit remade by Bob. Then by Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart in the 80s)! The 1965 original was by The Impressions, who had a young Curtis Mayfield as their lead singer. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. named the song the unofficial anthem of the civil rights movement in the 1960s... In 1997, Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers remade that vintage classic, and it's here, with SIX versions. The Marley children never sounded so good! The disc looks new, and is still shiny and clean. The mostly cardboard snap eco case is also still in excellent condition.
