Description: This art piece design was drawn by artist Patrick Dougherty . The Black Duck cafe was built in 1840 20 years before Lincoln was President . It was a covered barge that transported food and goods up one down the east coast. In the mid 1900s before Interstate 95 was built the barge came up the Saugatuck river and was docked where it sits today it sank at the dock on top of another barge that had sunk at the same dock in the early 1900s so it’s a barge on top of a barge. It originally was a bar named Davy Jones Locker then it became The Black Duck cafe named after the famous rumrunner the prohibition era black duck boat. It has been the Black Duck cafe for over 40 years. The art print is 11x17 inch printed on matte finish card stock .
