History:Betsy Burhans & her parents were avid conservationists working on projects to save endangered species. At the age of 10, Betsy began sketching & painting. She holds a M.A. in Art.In 1972 Betsy married Jim Fowler who appeared and hosted Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom & was a wildlife correspondenton the Today Show.Jim & Betsy traveled to many of the worlds remote places where Betsy captured the experience in painting, sketches and photos.Through Dr. Richard Leakey (famed paleontologist) the Fowler's became aware of the tragic plight of the African elephants.Betsy's collection of paintings, "A Tribute To The Elephants" is her personal contribution to the fight to save elephants from extinction. You can see on the reverse, Betsy signed it to a friend and/or contributor Elly and signed it BETTY & JIM FOWLERWILD KINGDOM 1995 Excellent condition.
