Description: An authentic Southern Paleo fluted Redstone Clovis or a Fluted Suwanee Point/Knife, either way a rare point. From an old Southern collection. Both sides are fluted and have overlapping and guide flake scars.. Well finished heavily ground base .Under the loop, it has patina, mineral deposits, edge ware and pitting from contact with soil. Material looks like fossil coral chert with small quart crystal inclusions. No damage ancient or modern. A full 3 1/8" long x 1 1/4 wide base. A very triangular thicker substantial point. Guaranteed ancient. Time to reduce some of my collection after 40 yrs...
