They feature hand stamped silver stars with darling Darlene Nevada turquoise centers The darling Darlene turquoise Named for the beloved daughter who died as a young woman, Darling Darlene was discovered and mined by Joe Barredo and his son-in-law in the early 70s. Hard, gem quality turquoise in a color range from light and dark blue to greens come out of this mine, producing another wonderful collectible turquoise from Nevada. Today the mine is part of a gold mining operation. No marks but tested as Sterling silver. Each earring measures 1" long and 1" wide. The earrings weigh around 11.3 grams.
