Description: A beautiful Acquerelli Artistici (Artistic Watercolor) artist signed, Aldo Raimondi, postcard of Italy titled Giardini Vaticani (Vatican City Gardens) Grotta di Lourdes. Grotta di Lourdes (also Grotta della Madonna di Lourdes) is an artificial cave in the Vatican gardens. It was built in 1902 to 1905 and is a replica of the Lourdes Grotto in France. The context of building this grotto is the vision of the Madonna that a young girl, Bernadette Soubirous, experienced 18 times. The card measures 3 1/2" x 5 1/2", and has not been postmarked. The card displays beautiful color, design, and detail. The corners and edges are very good, (view attached photo for condition). Email me with any questions.
