Description: I am offering for sale this Antique Vintage Stanley Bailey No 3 Type 17 Ca 1942-45 Smooth Plane Inv#AC29w This is a wartime Stanley Bailey No 3 Type 17, Ca 1942-45 USA smooth plane that is in "as found" condition. It would clean up well. The plane's original japanning has a few chips. The knob is tight and secure, it has typical minor wear to finish. The tote has no cracks or repairs. The plane measures 9-1/4" L x 2-1/8" W. The cheeks & sole have few scratches but no other issues. The cutter has some pitting & rust, it has a Stanley notched USA logo. It measures: 7-1/8" x 1-3/4" W. I always suggest sharpening cutter to get it back to an optimal cutting edge. Stanley is printed horizontal on the adjustment lever.
