Description: Antique dating from the Victorian Era, pique lapel brooch / Locket pendant with 9k yellow gold and sterling silver overlay on an oval shape tortoise shell background on one side.On the other side the pendant becomes a locket with a yellow gold hinged frame and glass front.The picture on the inside is of a young gentleman with suit and tie, and on his right arm, a cute real dried up ladybug is situated.We did not open the hinged locket because we did not want to disturb the applied ladybug.This is exactly how this was found.The top of the locket has a small chain instead of the regular bail, and a velvet black ribbon is attached on that, so that it would be worn with a lapel pin.Very unusual piece.The locket or entire pendant measures 1 3/8" long X 1" wide X 1/4" deep.
