Description: This rare antique Western Electric apartment telephone is a rare find for collectors. With its classic black design, it would make a great addition to any vintage phone collection. Made in the United States before 1940, this phone is a true piece of history.This is a 553A model and is in very good condition,it was patented on September 21,1920,there are different dates on the mouth piece it has stated,Property of AMERICAN TEL & TEL CO 323,PAT USA JAN 14,1913.Both the interior lower box and the upper box are clean and in surprisingly great condition for an antique and it measures 14" inches long by 6 1/2" inches wide.The exterior of this rare apartment phone has some minor flaws,scratches, nicks,paint spots and missing paint.It has a Hell Bank note under glass in the lower box,I'm not sure if it's an authentic note. The brand is Western Electric and it was manufactured in the United States. This phone is perfect for anyone who wants to add a unique touch to their home decor.
