Antique Lavar Ravar Type Oriental Rug Carpet Floral Garden 36x60" Near Mint

Description: This listing is for an Fine Antique Lavar / Ravar Type Kerman Oriental Rug Carpet most likely made in 1910 or thereabout. It measures 35 1/2 inches by 60 inches weighing over 9 lbs. All Natural / Organic Dyes. Overall floral bouquet detail. Very colorful. Purples , Greens , Pinks, Olive, Blues , Reds.... It is made from high quality Manchester wool pile on a cotton foundation. It almost goes with just about any setting. This class of Persian rugs are true Masterpieces. 15x15 knots per square inches, makes it a pretty fine rug for a cotton warp rug. In excellent / Near mint condition with great pile throughout and original fringes there for the most part ( foundation / Warp of rug ). Fringes ends were overcast with machine made fringes which has kept the fringe ends intact and still in place , which has worn away with time and was left on when rug went through a wash to protect the ends while rug is being washed and has since been taken out . a white stitching on one corner at side ( as shown in images ) was done by conservator for purposes having to do with washing the rug. Several small spot in ivory concentrated in a small area ( see specific image ) have not come out with wash although they are really indecipherable and very hard to notice and will eventually tone down and come out with future washes. Salvage on one side is perfect and original and has been redone at one point in time which is not so fine as the other ( original ) side but a good color match and again barely something noticeable when the rug is laid. Rugs of this period are very rare and very hard to find. The floral detail is a day brightener every time one looks at it. Its like a little garden that you can spread anywhere you need an instant garden inside your living space. It is recently (7/2015) soak washed by a textile conservator and is clean enough to touch face it. Soak washed again on 07/2017. Both ends secured. I usually post many more images on my listing than the 12 listed on eBay gallery which only will be visible to individuals on classic eBay site ( that would be when item is viewed on a computer) .
