Description: For sale is this caricature painting of the Duke of Wellington and a French General, possibly Napoleon. I would estimate it was drawn in the first half of the 19th century, around 1830 to 1840. It is framed in a birdseye maple frame and comes with its original glass. The frame measures about 10 inches by 8 1/2 inches and weighs about 518 grams in total. The watercolour drawing is in good condition with no tears or folds. Some soiling spots on the lower left of the painting and minor staining and wear throughout. Veneer loss to the frame and wear and tear throughout.
