Description: Wavecrest Biscuit Cracker Jar in muted delicate tones and artwork. This piece is light pink on the bottom and blends to cream around bottom of floral design on all four sides with white cream to the top. I tried several different lighting and could not get the pink to show it is faint but definitely distinguishable. We've had the jar for about 60 years and it's been well cared for. Only two flaws one is a mark along the lower right pictured in pics 12, 13 & 14 (toothpick for size) about inch to inch and a half it's not a crack but you can feel it almost raised feeling maybe flaw at manufacture I put the area to very strong light and you can't see it from the inside one little bit which makes me think it's a manufacturing flaw. Secondly I've cleaned this twice yearly and though I always had a hand under it, it was carried by the handle. As I was carrying to take pictures I noticed the lid is a little loose and will need to be cemented back pics 10 & 11 show the lift. The silver is a bit tarnished per it's age. Height is to top of the jar lip not the lid and handle they're additional to the 6". I have priced this with the flaws in mind. I want to let everyone know I appreciate your looking at my items. I am not an expert but have grown up since a very young age around flea markets antique stores and such. We worked flea markets from Michigan to Ohio to Shipshewana. And antique stores from Michigan to Florida. 99% of the items I'm selling are from my family's private collection of over 60 years or my father's used book and record store. I will always try to give accurate descriptions with as much detail as I can see, but my eyes are a little old and tired now.
