Antique 1920s art deco Flapper dress silver beaded black velvet evening dress

This gorgeous antique dress is made of soft black silk velvet and has intricate glass beading all over. About 90% of the beads are still attached. Where some beadwork is missing there are loose threads. There is no label and no lining. It does actually date to the 1920s. The side seam opening is only 7.5 inches long, there are snaps. This makes it difficult to put on, most side closures on dresses are at least 10 inches long. The waistline could use some mending at the seam, the thread used was a gold color and is basted in a large stitch. There are some small splits in the facing around the armholes. this is all interior. This piece would be best for inspiration, repurposing, or to create a pattern.
