Description: This is an exceptional flamenco blanca built by Anselmo Solar Gonzalez in 1969. It is a real cannon---loud, brash, focused and full sounding, perfect for flamenco dance accompaniment or concert performance. 660mm scale, 53mm nut. Spruce top and cypress back and sides. It does have some crack repairs that lower its resale value of course, but which are perfectly stable--2 behind the saddle on the top, and two more close to the fretboard--one on each side of the board that is. I don't see any sign of cracks or repairs on the back and sides, but there is considerable wear in the finish on the back--see photos. I think Gonzalez, who worked for Santos Hernandez and his widow, is one of the most underrated historical builders from Madrid. I think his guitars are exceptional, and this is one of the best I've played. I will also soon be listing a classical he built in 1963, with incredible Brazilian rosewood. If someone would like to make simultaneous offers on the pair, I would accept less in a package deal like that. This blanca comes with a hardshell case. The string height at the 12 fret is 3.3mm on the bass and 3.0 on the treble with a small amount of saddle room to lower (about 1 mm). I have been selling guitars on ebay for 24 years without a single negative or neutral review. Even though the listing says "no returns" I am happy to accept a return if the buyer pays shipping within 14 days, for whatever reason. Ebay seems to require 30 days or not at all, so I have chosen the latter, but am committed to satisfaction. I intend to add a video to this listing soon. I specialize in guitars in an affordable price range ($1500--$3000) and am always happy to find guitars whose quality far surpasses their price because of crack repairs (which rarely seem to diminish the quality for the player). These may not be for the collector, but they are great values for the performer.
