Description: Abilene Cowboy Boots Snip Toe DistressedI'm selling another pair of my cowboy boots that I don't wear anymore. These are what they call a clipped toe. When they were brand new I had a local cobbler put the waterproof soul on them because I live in Washington State, the Western rainy side. Not only does it help to keep the rain out, it gives you more traction. You will get the flexibility, comfort, and attractiveness of a full leather sole, with the added benefit of waterproofing and traction. I never did oil these up. If you do it will add to their water resistance, but it will darken them. The type of leather that these boots are made out of will look better as it ages and gets rubbed about more (which is already starting to happen). It's more of a natural leather without the gloss. The leather is pretty thin and very comfortable and conforming. If you look at the new ones available today, you will notice that I had the cobbler round the sole at the point. Originally the leather sole was squared off, which I did not like. I still have my first pair of these that are extremely worn in. I used to wear them all summer long. The inside material does keep your feet very comfortable even in the hot summer heat. To me they are very comfortable. If you have any questions just let me know.
