Description: A really beautiful antique bronze statue, signed by the French artist Emile Louis Picault ( 1833- 1915 ) and titled ( le coup de l etrier ), which means ( one foe the road ). This large bronze has a cast signature on the base E.Picault and it shows a man holding a cup in his right hand and a small knife in his left hand. Please note that the blame of the knife is missing. Very high quality as detail , and nice position of the man and the lady. Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work. Circa 1890. H : 25 inches ( 64 cm ) W : 16 inches ( 40 cm ) D : 10 inches ( 26 cm ) No damage, patina never touched, missing the blame of the knife, some wear due to age.
