The nice thing about this Crucifix is that it was inlaid with wood and red fabric and that a part of it is still visible after almost 300 years under the soil. The remarkable thing is that in the last photo it looks like there's a silver mark on it? So you pay the price for a brass Crucifix and with a bit of luck a beautiful silver Crucifix will appear underneath after cleaning? Material: Brass. (Maybe silver) Condition: In a very good condition for it's age. (Please take a look at the pictures and judge for yourself...) Origin: the Netherlands. Date: 18th. century. Length: 1,65 inch. (42 mm.) Width: 0,83 inch. (21 mm.) Weight: 3,79 gr. It was found with a metal detector in the old city of Rotterdam.
