Baseball cards picturing oldtimers, commemoratives and reprints were the staples of a company by the name of The Card Memorabilia Associates, Limited (TCMA) for several years. The company produced many outstanding products and among their finest was this card issued in 1986. Measuring approximately 2-13/16" by 3-1/2" and resembling the popular 1950 Bowman Gum cards, it is made from an original painting by artist Robert Stephen Simon. It depicts an all-time baseball Super Star. The reverse side features an excellent word-picture of the player. This is a fine artwork-based example to be added to any collection of favorite player/team or Type cards.
