This is a nice lot of 6 GREETINGS POSTCARDS from the publisher TUCK & SONS that show life with PEOPLE. These postcards are ANTIQUE postcards from the 1910s. The postcards are colorful and attractive. Some look like paintings, there is a romance postcard, and a few with scenes with other people. TUCK & SONS postcards have good value. The following is what is included in this lot: 1. Art Series #1152.6. "Evening Winter Scenes" - Oilette #6492. Sunset Woman and child Walking near windmill. Artist M. Morris. 1904 These postcards are all UNPOSTED (6) and clean. One has writing on the back. They have DIVIDED back. These postcards were published by Raphael Tuck & Sons, who is an important and valued publisher. They published from 1866 through the mid 1960s in England. They first started with publishing Christmas cards printed in their native Prussia, Germany. They are noted for high quality postcards and ephemera that have a huge appeal to collectors. Tuck’s “Oilette” Series was the first VIEWS postcards published in 1903 and came in sets. These became their most popular cards, and a “standard” model for other publishers. The firm was so well respected that they had the honor of being appointed in 1894 by Queen Victoria as the "Art Publishers to their Majesties the King & Queen of the United Kingdom.” These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age. The photos show the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope. We only ship within the USA; we do not ship internationally. USA shipping is with tracking, and we use eBay Standard Envelope mail when the value is under $20 and the weight is under 3 oz; and, we use USPS First Class mail when the value is over $20 or the weight is over 3 oz.
