The strip acts as a guide and the blade will cut directly up to the edge. It also helps prevent chipping and splintering. Long anti-slip strips on the bottom of the rails keeps the TrackSawGuide in place. For a more secure cut, you can use the included T-Track Clamps to lock the rails to your workpiece. The TrackSawGuide can extend from 27.5 in. to as long as needed with available GuideRail additions.
