The Ayam Ketawa AKA Laughing Chicken only arrived in the US in April 2019 after a 4 year long process to get them out of Asia, through a European breeder and then finally, and legally, into the US. The day-olds sell for $100 each, plus shipping! We MAY well have roosters available later this summer, for collection only - Summersville, West Virginia.The Laughing Chicken Rooster and his pretty girls will bring laughter to your life! This amazing bird originates from a small region of Indonesia and is highly sought-after for its exceptional "Crow". In Indonesia, the breed is also known as Ayam Gaga; in Buginese it is called Manu Gaga (literally Stammering Chicken). ONLY the roosters "Laugh". Competitions take place across Indonesia.. go to YouTube and search on "Laughing Chicken Compilation"! Amazingly, these roos start to CROW (squeak!) as early as THREE WEEKS, but the full "laugh" is not fully developed until they are about a year old. We have found that 2/10 Roosters that we hatch have a regular crow. Others have reported the same observation. Our roosters have two types of "laugh". One is the "slow laugh" known as "Gaga". He sounds like a guffawing Hillbilly! One has the fast laugh "Garetek", that sounds like an insane old lady!
