Description: Three antique Hager Door Hinges Square Butt hinges with knuckles appear to be brass, measure approximately 4.5" x 5", each weigh over a pound, and all have beautiful Steeple finial tips that measure over an inch long. Hinges are marked "Hager," a company that has been in business in the U.S. since the mid-1800s, and is still in business today. These antique door hinges came off a house that was built in 1917. They are naturally and authentically "antiqued" brass that has light corrosion which has changed the bright brass color to brown -- like an old penny. There are also a few greenish spots that may be verdigris, or may be old paint. Looks like there may be some paint on a couple of the finials, too. Reclaimed antique hinges show age appropriate wear and open and close nicely. These seem like heavy duty hinges to me, but I don't know what makes a hinge heavy duty vs standard. I do know that the doors these hinges were on were heavy, solid wood. Please see photographs showing hinge next to a ruler to get the best idea of measurements. No screws included with these hinges.
