28" Black Japanese Katana, and Sheath, featuring Samurai and Sea-Warfare

Description: This is a used item. Please see photos for ultimate final condition of the item. This is a beautiful all-black Japanese katana, featuring the traditional war-time samurai. The sheath does have some dents and dings. The blade is 440 Stainless Steel, and made in Taiwan. The blade is semi-sharp, but could use a re-sharpen. The blade has a nice Hamon (Temper Line) pattern to it. This blade does not have a Bo-Hi (Fuller or Blood Groove). The Saya (scabbard / sheath) is a nice dark matte black, with a smooth finish. The Sageo (sheath cord) is also black, and is in perfect condition - It appears as though it has never been unwrapped. The Tsuba (Guard Plate) adorns a samurai's suit of armor showing the men in armor in water or fog. The Fuchi (Grip Base Collar) shows depictions of sea-faring warriors underway on their travels, in full armor. The Kashira (Pommel end cap) shows a Japanese samurai warrior ready to draw his weapon in defense of his country and emperor. The Habaki is brass. The Same'gawa (Rayskin - Under Wrap) is white. I am unable to tell what the Menuki (decorative metal ornaments, under the tsuka-ito) is. The Tsuka-ito (handle wrapping) is black as well. The two Mekugi (bamboo wood pins or pegs) are in good condition, and tapered so they only go in one way.
