Description: XL Mylar Packet - Organic Riesentraube Heirloom Tomato SeedsGold Vault Mylar Zip Packet The name of this heirloom tomato, "Riesentruaube" is German for "giant bunch of grapes", and these small 3/4 oz. tomatoes grow in large clusters of 20 to 40. Similar flavor to that of a beefsteak tomato. Matures in approximately 70 days. Certain parts of plant may be poisonous if ingested. This European heirloom was grown by the Pennsylvania Dutch as early as 1856. The German name translates "giant bunches of grapes," an indication of the clustering habit of the developing tomatoes; the heavy bunches have been known to contain as many as 50 small, intensely flavored tomatoes. Riesentraube was introduced commercially in the United States in 1994 by Southern Exposure Seed Exchange. These seeds are non-GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms), and are also free from all Neonicotinoids. They are packaged in our superb Gold Mylar Mylar Zip Packaging, which gives the seeds the best storage possible, and allows you to reseal the bag for later use. The artwork and labels on the packet are loaded with information - many people comment that it is the most beautiful packet that they have ever seen.
