2014 Strandberg Boden 6 Misha Mansoor - *USA Custom*

Description: This ultra-rare, USA Custom Shop Misha Mansoor Signature is in MINT condition, plays fast, and sounds AMAZING! All hardware and electronics appear to be original and work perfectly. This guitar is also super lightweight, weighing only 4lbs. 11oz. on my digital shipping scale. All custom shop specs are listed on the COA. This short-lived and highly sought-after signature model was spec'd by Misha and built in the former Strandberg USA custom shop outside of Chicago in 2014. To the best of my knowledge, only 11 of these pieces were ever produced. As shown in the COA, this particular specimen is #4. This premium model was introduced at the 2015 NAMM show. However, it was never put into production following this initial run, as Misha signed a deal with Jackson Guitars shortly thereafter. I am an avid collector who is familiar with the history of Strandberg and its collectors market. I can say that this piece is exceedingly rare. I have never seen one of these in the wild, outside of the 6- and 7-string pieces that Misha owned around 2014 (there are a few old vids out there of him playing these Strandbergs). It's a shame that Misha's relationship with Strandberg did not blossom further because this model is truly PHENOMENAL! For real. I have owned 100 or more Strandbergs and I can say that this is the most resonant, punishingly thick, yet articulate Strandberg I have ever laid hands on. Clearly, this is due in part to the exceptionally high-grade swamp ash and birdseye maple used for the body and neck, respectively. However, I believe the claro walnut top is really what sets this one apart from other top Strandberg builds. The walnut gives the tone an extra layer of low mids that punch, pop, and cut-through the mix unlike any Strandberg I've played. The result is a perfect modern metal machine that offers the ideal balance between muscle and precision. The only guitar that I have played that comes close to replicating this sonic perfection is one of the original Black Machines from the UK that had a nearly 10k price tag (interestingly that Misha also played a Black Machine heavily at the time). And, dare I say, I think this one is better. In addition to premium playability and tone, this piece is also in MINT condition! After a careful inspection, I can find no notable signs of wear at all. No dings, scratches, nothing. While in my possession, it has been part of a very large collection of guitars and it has never left my pet- and smoke-free home studio. It has clearly been very well taken care of over it's 10 years of life. The original Strandberg soft case, tools, and COA pictured will be included with purchase.
