Description: 2011 Custom Quote Gibson Custom Historic 1960 Les Paul Reissue LPR0 Lightly Figured Western Desert Fade Felder Burst VOS with Grovers Here is a very interesting guitar. It has the neck and factory-installed Grover tuners of a Clapton “Beano” Les Paul and the body finish of a Don Felder Les Paul. This 2011 Gibson Custom Historic 1960 Les Paul Reissue is a unique Custom Shop instrument. It was a special order; what Gibson calls a CQ or Custom Quote. This guitar weighs 8 lbs 15.5 oz. and the thickness of the neck measures .839 at the 1st fret and .911 at the 12th. The figured maple top has a Western Desert Fade finish (aka Felderburst) like Don Felder’s famous 1960 Les Paul only with more flame figuring. The VOS treatment makes this guitar look like a treasured original. This guitar is in very good to excellent condition and it comes complete with the OHSC, COA, and hang tags. The pickguard is also included in the case pocket but it was never installed. The tone-wood combination of mahogany and maple, the classic duo of Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, and a pair of Gibson's PAF-style BurstBucker humbucker pickups with bumble bee capacitors all work toward impressive tonal performance. The Les Paul Standards' long-tenon neck joint, traditionally back-angled headstock, and thin, breathable nitrocellulose finish also adds to the sustain of the guitar. I have owned this guitar since 2011 and have played it very little owing to the fact that I could not transition from my vee-neck Telecasters that I had been using for many years. This resulted in a "lightly played" condition of the instrument. The purely cosmetic headstock ding was never an issue for me in fact I think it added “authenticity” to the instrument which is why I did not have it repaired. Comes with the original Gibson Custom case. The guitar will be shipped in the original box with labels as pictured.
