Description: This item is being sold for the employee holiday fund at the continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Maine where I live with my husband. All items are donated by the residents of the community and the net proceeds of all sales go to the fund that is distributed annually to the wonderful employees who help the many elderly residents here. I will give all the information I can about each item, but I am not the original owner. I have here Two (2) Vintage Silver Plated Chalice Goblet Wine Kiddush Cups 7 1/8” & 5 1/8”. These two are NOT a set and I don’t know if they were even donated by the same person but I am selling them together. They are both in great need of a polishing but I will leave that to whomever buys them. I have no idea as to there age, best guess mid-1900s (1950s or 1960s?). The larger cup measures about 7 1/8” tall, has 4” in diameter opening at the top, has a weighted 3 5/8” in diameter bottom (quite heavy, it weighs well over 1 pound) and has a logo etched in the bottom is just a single line with a branch coming off each side (see pic). Have no idea who the manufacturer is. The smaller cup measures about 5 1/8” tall, has a 3” in diameter opening at the top, is 2 ¾” in diameter at the bottom and etched on the bottom is, “Mappin & Webb Silver Plate on Copper”. Both are in good condition but, like I said, need a good polishing! Do hope someone can put them to good use! I have many other interesting items up for sale, many to benefit this wonderful employee fund. I will be happy to combine items if you buy more than one item.
