Description: MAR 7 1981Roger Doherty of Bellevue and his small helicopter caused quite a surprise about 10 a.m. yesterday when he landed it on a condominium building that a friend, Tullus Gordon, owns at 5801 Phinney Ave. N. Police and fire fighters were dispatched to the scene, but Doherty said he just wanted to give his friend a close look at the helicopter because Gordonis considering buying one. The pilot, who said he was embarrassed by the commotion, said he had cleared his roof landing with the Federal Aviation Administration before leaving Bellevue and "thought he had all bases covered." Police said Doherty broke no laws and one resident of the building described it as "much to-do about nothing."
