Description: 🙂 1980-P DIME HAS THE NO LONGER MINTED 1968 HIGH RELIEF REVERSE 🙂 AND THIS COIN IS VERY BEAUTIFULLY COLORED WITH PURPLE, RED, ORANGE, YELLOW AND GREEN 🙂 ABOVE, THE DIME ON THE LEFT SHOWS THE REVERSE THAT WAS USED FROM 1946 UNTIL 1968. 🙂 AND THE DIME ON THE RIGHT SHOWS A NEW HIGH RELIEF DESIGN FOR THE REVERSE THAT WAS ONLY USED FROM 1969 UNTIL 1980. 🙂 The easiest way to tell the difference between the two designs is that the one on the right is a higher relief with 2 valleys in the flame of the torch instead of just one valley as in the lower relief design on the left. 🙂 In 1969 and 1970 most dimes were still being struck using the old lower relief dies so very few of these high relief coins were struck in the Denver or Philadelphia mints in 1969 or 1970.
