1980 Fender Lead II Transparent Red with Original Hardshell Case and Manual

Description: 1980 Fender Lead II The serial number is "E011569" which dates it to 1980. The neck has a 1980 date code, the pickups date to 1980 and the pots are from December 1979.The body has the original transparent red finish which has some checking in several areas around the edges. Fender had a lot of problems with the finish on these and this one is one of the nicest ones I've had. There are some other small dings, scratches, and scuffs. Nothing out of the ordinary for a vintage guitar and no cracks or structural issues.The neck is straight and the frets show only light wear. It's in excellent playing condition and has no major issues. The fretboard, back of the neck and headstock are clean and have no dings, worn areas, cracks, repairs or extra holes. The nut is 1.58" wide, the neck measures 0.88" thick at the 1st fret and 0.94" thick at the 12th fret.The hardware and electronics are original and in excellent working condition. Both pickups are the hotter X1 versions and they measure 7.51 Ω (Bridge) and 7.73 Ω (Neck). The only minor issue is the high E tuners is bent but it still works as it should. It comes in the original case which has no major wear on the outside. All of the latches, hinges and handle are in excellent working order and the interior has no bad odors. The original manual is also included.Actual weight for the guitar is 7 lbs 2 oz.Please note that I do not set up my guitars before mailing. I have played it and everything is great as far as I'm concerned, but you may need to change the strings, adjust the action or do other maintenance to get it to your preferences.I list some of my items on both eBay and Reverb.
