Description: Gorgeous, blazing, rainbow toned 1971 Canadian British Columbia silver $1 coin. This was struck in nickel for circulation but the silver strikes were specimen coins sold only from the mint to collectors. The obverse depicts a young queen Elizabeth and has a slightly frosty bust with bright background and a lovely orange toning ring around the full circumference. The reverse has the cost of arms dated 1871-1971 and has “Canada” and “British Columbia” around the edge. The toning is magnificent. The entire reverse is toned in lavender hues with orange and gold highlights. Still has the original presentation case and box, both like new. This one may be worth sending in to get graded.
