Baker (1925-2014) was a moderate conservative who held a Senate seat from 1967 to 1985 and served as majority leader of the Senate during President Ronald Reagan’s first term, 1981-1985. He was known for his successful work in brokering compromises while maintaining civility. When he retired from the Senate, Al Gore was elected in his stead. Card measures 3 7/8” x 6 ¼”.
