Cover and internal page wear in the form of light foxing, discoloration, staining, minor corner and edge wear, small crimps and creases or indents. Rust on metal bind. Overall: GOOD SCRIPT HISTORY: This script is authentic (as are the vast majority on my account). Not only is this script original, but it was most likely either utilized during the course of production of the film itself and or passed out and handled by an executive, a director or someone in the production studio (lighting specialists, cast, etc). In the case of continuities vs. movie scripts, they too are original - at least they are on my account - from the looks of scripts available elsewhere on eBay I would wager 95% are fake/copies freshly printed anymore. Continuities were used during production and include all of the information generally contained within a standard release script PLUS the background, lighting and stage effects that otherwise are left out of your standard scripts. Again, all of the scripts that I sell are original, they are not reprints or copies, all were collected overtime from the major studios from a PROMINENT serial collector in Ohio over the course of 50+ years (along with everything else that I sell on my account)… An important element in Cleveland’s success as a movie studio hub was the CLEVELAND FILM EXCHANGE BUILDING (also known as Cleveland Film Service and The Academy Film Service) located on the southeast corner of Payne Ave. and East 21st St. Studios and distributors in the specially constructed building performed a film pickup and delivery service, rewound and inspected returned movies, and stored films between showings. In an age when movie theaters would change their offerings several times a week, the films had to be ready to ship. Trucks would move in and out of the Film Exchange Building at all hours of the day and night to serve the more than 700 theaters of northern Ohio. At its peak, fourteen national studios had offices in the building. Cleveland was also home to over a dozen sponsored film studios, including CINECRAFT PRODUCTIONS (established in 1939), ESCAR (1942), GENERAL PICTURES CORP. (1957), and TRI-STATE MOTION PICTURES (1926). Other film studios, with their main offices in other cities, also had sales offices in Cleveland. These included Wilding Studios out of Chicago, the Jam Handy Organization out of Detroit, Roland Reed Productions, Jerry Fairbanks, Inc., and Riviera Productions out of Los Angeles. My items all come from Elmer Kadar - who partially owned the film exchange and The Academy Film Service, as well as Vienna Books and a host of other properties (Kadar was also very wealthy, attended Le Rosey, Exeter and Yale and was family to the ruler of Hungary - Janos Kadar). I am the sole owner of the vast majority of the Cleveland film exchanges receipts, records, photos, lobby cards, posters, scripts, that Kadar meticulously stored in filing cabinets and documented because I purchased his entire estate more than a decade ago. That set - 1982 The Last Unicorn sold for $5,000 right here on eBay! A COSTLY MISTAKE: In 2012 I mistakenly sold the Gone With The Wind continuity signed by Selznick (overlooked the signature) for $300. It went on to sell for almost $15,000-$20,000 years later.
