Description: This is a vintage scout uniform from the 1960's. We found it in a thrift store in Dallas Oregon in October. There were patches from the 1964 Jamboree in the pocket. We also have the merit badge sash for sale and will list the companion shirt (with Eagle patch) in a few days. A weird coincidence, Camp Cherry Valley is on Catalina Island off the coast of Los Angles. During my son's troops planning meeting we started planning on going to one of the camps on Catalina Island. I googled the name sewn in the collar (John Esbenshade) and found his obit. He grew up in Southern California, went to medical school in Belgium before settling in Dallas Oregon where he was a pediatrician. He passes in June of 2022.
