Description: Not surprisingly, NGC got it wrong. There is no obverse die break here. A cud formed on the reverse and when the die piece fell it, it landed in the striming chamber and damaged the obverse and reverse dies. The obverse on the head and the reverse on the left wheat stalk. The cud that caused the damage is at three o'clock on the reverse. Personally, I consider this to be one of the most fascinating varieties of the 20th century.
