Postmarked August 13, 1943. Priced to sell. Ilag VII held civilian prisoners who were not military combatants. Sherwill was most likely one of the Channel Islands Jews who did not wind up in a concentration camp. Rare Judaica from WW 2 with multiple intersections of rarity. For the serious collector of Judaica and Holocaust related philately this is an exceptional item. Cover is in excellent condition.
