Description: This compact soldier's companion diary is in great condition for its age and travels, all pages and binding are intact. It was filled out by my great grandfather when he was drafted into WWII in 1942. Many parts of the journal have writing: the identification (introduction) page, service record, my buddies (2 entries), diary - started October 17-Dec 25, 1942 (42 written pages), 1 Date to Remember Oct 1 1942-draft day, Gifts-2 pages of entries. I admit more of the book is empty than is filled out, I was really surprised he wrote as much as he did, he wasn't one for lots of words.. I'm happy to show additional pictures if you like. I will be listing other WWII era memorabilia my mother doesn't want to keep any longer, I'm happy to combine shipping. Thanks.
