Description: Up for Sale:Interesting Lot of 3 Vintage Spanky McFarland items. The two photos are an interesting and unique look at how Spanky’s body double quickly evolved from 1935-36 the height of his time with “Our Gang”. The first is a 7” X 9” image from 1935 and shows Spanky posing with a posable jointed doll used as his double. The second photo show Spanky a year later with his now human double Joe Strauch, and measures 6” X 8”. Included in sale is a letter autographed by Spanky. The autographed notation appears on the bottom of a typed autograph request by famed autograph hound Roger Harris. Often the Harris signature is coveted nearly as much as the celebrity autograph he is seeking. These photographs and letter would look great framed. The folding creases in the letter have flattened out nicely and does not significantly detract from overall eye appeal. The 1935 photo comes with a LOA, while the 1936 photo nor the Autograph has an LOA included, however, I will guarantee the Vintage 1 designation. They are authentic from the time period stated.
