1931 James Jimmy Doolittle Signed Airmail Cover Canada Mexico Flight Original

Description: This is an original 1931 airmail cover or envelope signed Major James Doolittle who would later achieve great fame as the leader of the daring Doolittle’s Raid bombing attack on Japan during WWII. This envelope has a 21 October 1931 postmark from Mexico and is typed “Carried by Major James Doolittle Canada-Mexico Flight” on the upper left corner. The envelope is addressed to Mr. Earle Mills of Hollywood who may be the US Navy Admiral of the same name. Doolittle’s autograph appears in the upper left hand corner over the aforementioned typed notation. This envelope shows some toning from age and is in very good condition overall. This vintage original signed airmail cover is from early in Jimmy Doolittle’s long career. Doolittle would sign many autographs in his long life but these early ones are a lot harder to find.
