The date on these coins often wears away fast because it's a raised up part of the design without much protection against wear. As you can see from the picture, the date on this coin is still very nice. Please bid with confidence because I stand behind what I sell. THE BAD NEWS: Not really bad, but I want to point out some light scratches on the obverse. It sort of looks like album slide marks, and they do not show at every angle when viewing the coin. Sometimes things like this can be expected because these coins were used as real money long ago. Most coins have flaws, it's just a matter of what is acceptable for the grade.
