Description: 18th C Chinese Export Armorial Famille Rose Soup Plate, Qianlong, circa 1760 Description A Coat of arms is surrounded by a spearhead border is surrounded by floral sprays and ends in a gilt edge. The family with this particular coat of arms has not been identified. The code of arms might be continental.. Provenance This plate is from lot 3134 of an August 16, 2024 Leland, Little auction. It was part of a collection of a Virginia Beach, Virginia collector, who bought from some of the major dealers in the field. Size Eight and 5 inches in diameter 1 1/2 inches high Condition The left (looking at the coat of arms) portion of the plate has been broken into a number of pieces. Originally there were staple repairs .the staples were removed, and the plate restored.. These repairs are visible under black lighting., but are not visible to the naked eye. the plate appears perfect even if it’s not. Other defects are quite minimal. Only minor wear to the gilt border Enamel lost to the blue flower on the lower left of the coat of arms No visible chips on the edge I will discount shipping if you buy more than one item .
