Description: 1897 first edition from The American Publishing Company of the Samuel L. Clemens book Following the Equator. There might be some interesting publishing history for this one if you are into that as there is a stamped name in the back from a previous owner: John J. Newbegin of San Francisco. He was a book seller but also had a brother who worked with this publishing company to publish some special editions of Twain's works. Sadly this book has major faults. The pages from the title pages to the end are in nice shape, the illustrations are fine as well, slight yellowing around the edges. The problem is the the front cover is torn off and the spine cover is loose. That front cover takes the frontispiece and it's foxed tissue paper with it. This will be more clear than the digital photo shows. The high bidder is to pay for the media rate postage, ebay calculates that for you, international shipping will be much more, sorry but the P.O. drastically increased postage for international packages. We will combine listings to save on shipping. Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK! Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
