Description: $1894$Stamped Van Camp's Pork And Beans Playing Cards, WOW!!! $RED$ ULTRA RARE. A complete deck and joker from Van Camp Packing Company, Indianapolis,Ind. It is stamped on the bottom, on an 1894 2 cent tax stamp which was started again that year. I have seen a blue deck circa 1920 but none in red or in this condition. You can get this deck for the same price. A little piece of history; 1894 was the year Van Camp's discovered and introduced their new " VAN CAMP'S PORK AND BEANS." 1894 was the year a tax was put back on playing cards, via a 2 cent stamp. Companies back then gave cards away as gifts which was an excellent way to advertise their business. Most of these cards are lost to time and exposure. Thanks for looking.
