In fair condition. Moderate wear to extremities with scuffing edges and corners. Soiling and scuffing to edges and surface of cloth. Darkened at edges from soiling. Gilt stamping bright and clean. Spine is darkened with rippling. Gilt dulled from exposure. Spine ends frayed with loss. Rear board soiled with staining and rippling at surface. Bookplate of Maurice Robert Des Marais on front end pastedown. Des Marais was a longtime faculty member in the Department of Architecture at Penn State College of Arts and Architecture and a corporate member of the American Institute of Architects. Dampness staining at edges of text throughout. Does not affect text. All edges gilt. Loose plate of Great Hall at Rathbone. Tissue guards intact. Binding tender at mid-gutter but intact.
