It is from Morse and Gaston's Diamond Atlas, published in New York by Samuel Gaston, 1857. A facsimile copy of the title page will also be included for authenticity. It is by Samuel Gaston and Sidney Morse, the brother of Samuel Morse, the inventor of the telegraph. Their father was Jedidiah Morse, also a mapmaker and publisher in New York. The map is not mounted, matted nor framed, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the pic. Overall, a nice antique miniature map that would frame up nicely! Size: The map image measures approximately 3 1/2 by 6 inches (9x15cm) on a 6 by 7 1/4" (15x18cm) page with a margin all around for framing as seen in the pic. Condition: The map is in Good condition for its age with overall tonal aging and original hand coloring as issued. There are a couple of light smudges in the margin as seen in the pics, otherwise it is very clean. See the pic for more on condition.
