Light wear to extremities with scuffing along edges and corners. A few small imperfections to the surface of leather along with minor staining. Light abrasion to joints with minor rubbing to bands. Presents nicely. Armoiral ex-libris of A. Brandon Taylor on front pastedown. Front gutter tender, splitting. Text block is fair with light toning at edges, but moderate age stain and minor foxing throughout. Edges slightly brittle with some tears. Free of known marginalia or markings. Binding remains intact. Please see photos. With bawdy illustrations by Georgian political caricaturist Thomas Rowlandson (1757-1827). A prolific artist and printmaker, Rowlandson produced both individual social and political satires, as well as a large number of illustrations for novels, humorous books, and topographical works.
