Description: From my mountainous archive of films, this 55-minute production is on two reels and is McGraw-Hill films #606128. An educational insert is included, describing the content and suggesting class discussion. This seems to be rare - have only found it in an Australian collection, not digitized and unavailable to watch online... only approved researchers can watch onsite. There is a roughly digitized version on the tube with the description saying 1963 and produced by Lucy Jarvis, but I have not screened or digitized this print myself. It should find its way to a historical archive. From that online listing: "A guided tour of the Kremlin recreating events in Russian history associated with the building from the 12th century up until its present day role as a museum and seat of the Social Government. Shows the great halls, paintings, ikons and treasures which belonged to the Czars." Apparently this was the first time an American film crew was allowed in the Kremlin. Red fade, clean, nonsmoking, no vinegar.
