Description: I make these to order so please allow about 20 days for shipment, once purchased. This is a simple one tube, one control 1625 cw transmitter for 80 and 40m cw. It uses plug-in coils for band switching. Two coils are included for 80/40m operation. This is low power QRP. You will need 12 to 14 volts ac or dc for the filament and another B+ supply for the plate circuit (50 to 200 volts dc). Power output depends on the power supply you use for the operating plate voltage. With 50 volts dc I get about 100 milliwatts out on 80 meters. No reason why you couldn't get several watts output if you run 150 to 200 volts dc for the high voltage plate circuit. It goes without saying, this circuit can be lethal when power is applied, if you do not treat it with the same respect you'd use with any ham radio transmitter, where voltage exceeds 50 volts or more. I used the old traditional slatboard style for this transmitter, so as to keep the 1940's nostalgic appearance. The paint is hammered gray, but you may have the natural pine wood appearance with clear urethane, on request. For that matter I can paint the slatboard chassis most any color that can be had at the paint store, so please inquire if you have a specific color request. 2 coils and 2 QRP crystals for the 80 and 40 meter bands are included with this listing. This item will be freshly constructed when ordered, but listed as used because most of the 1625 tubes are going to be either nos or used, but typically they are not new, fresh stock. I guarantee this transmitter will work if properly connected to a power source and your ham radio antenna. A good earth ground is always essential for best performance.
