Description: This Customized DID Figure represents a 1st Lieutenant in the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force during World War Two. This DID Figure wears a IJA Air Force Officers Tunic, Trousers, Black Rubber Soled Fight Boots, and a IJA Cap. He comes equipped with a leather belt, an over the shoulder Nambu holster, a crew photograph, a tattered piece of a Japanese plane, a small notebook, and a hachimacki headband. He is armed with two IJA Type 94 Nambu Pistols. (NOTE: The figure's right hand trigger finger was removed and a bandage was placed on the "wounded" hand.) This figure was inspired by a story of a soldier who was a crew member on a Japanese Bomber. His plane was attacked by American fighters and he was forced to bail out. He saw the plane explode and crash. He landed and searched for the rest of the crew but all he could find was pieces of the plane. His right trigger finger was shot off during the attack. He managed to sear the wound and use a part his scarf as a bandage. Being alone he created a shrine made of a piece of the bomber and a photograph he had of the crew. He kept a small diary of his time alone. He carried two Type 94 Nambu pistols. One had an extended magazine to hold more bullets. He learned to hold one pistol in his wounded right hand and use his middle finger to fire it. He also had to learn how to hold the other pistol in his left hand. He created a hachimacki headband from his scarf. The blood from his wounded hand made a blurred Rising Sun and wood fire coals was used to try and create some script .in Japanese. When discovered by American forces he used the two pistols to charge them, He was knocked out during the charge and captured. The Americans found his shrine and small diary. He felt ashamed that he was captured but recovered and survived the War.RS
